You're trying to make me go soft.

Well, you can save your oil,

I don't go soft for anybody.

Alan Ladd to Veronica Lake in This Gun For Hire

Is it just me, or is the world simply spinning
out of control and nothing is making sense anymore?

Did I hear right, or is my hearing starting to go?

There's nothing wrong with the economy and
there's nothing to be done.

The stimulus package (tax money coming back)
is all that is needed to get the recession (oops,
I meant "impending" recession) from starting.

Here's my reaction:

Dennis says his world is not really making any sense and is spinning out of control, so yours might be doing the same.

HhhaHaHahaha!!!....LOL...

Those are my sentements exactly.
Every time I turn on CNN, I'm nearly desensetized these days. A friend will say...."Oh My God! Did you hear what they just said about the economy??" and I'll say "yeah...They said Blah-Blah blah blah blah~~~~"

Alan Ladd and Veronica lake were also great together in The Glass Key, The Blue Dahlia, and Saigon.

I keep resolving to ignore the bad, but I have always stunk at resolutions.

How can you not love a guy named Claude?

Dennis was just reading the Financial Times and saw a high end Swiss watch advertisement--which used a
Lao Tzu quote as its headline. Dennis thought of you.

Hey, Coffee, you O.K.? I know things are going from bad to worse in the States but keep smiling.

I did a post on Saving America. Some folk (Americans) think it's not worth saving.

I do! Keep smiling old friend.

dennis: It seems to be the way of the usa, especially these past 8 yrs! ; (

kimberly: Yes, the news, anywhere, anytime anymore is sadly devoid of real news! ; (

kurt: Thanks 4 the info.

merle: It's so pathetic what passes 4 news and what people are willing to watch daily.

Like Groucho said, and I'm paraphrasing: When someone turns on the television, I go to the next room and read a book.

Or something like that.

dennis: Yikes! Using some of the music and quotes like that simply make me "not" ever to want to purchase anything. I'm afraid as I get older, I'm purchasing less and less! ; )

Oh, but with my $300.00 from the stimulus package,
I'm hoping to buy something that will quickly make jobs reappear here in the usa! ; (

david: Hello and Thanks. Nope, the usa is tanking and no one seems to accept that or want to do anything about it.

Thanks for your kind words as usual! Cheers!

This is the 3rd or 4th time I've been here and you always have such beautiful topics.

Thanks for sharing what's in your world!

I agree with you, coffee. Things are not looking good. The way this administration "fixes" things is even worse. I'm hoping things change radically in 2009, although I'm not optimistic. How much can a Democratic president accomplish given the shambles s/he will be inheriting?

Food prices are spiraling out of control in Northern Cal. Everyone I know is planting a kitchen garden this year. Of course that is real news and you don't hear about that on AP faux news.

Everything is fine, these are not the droids you're looking for, carry on.

kimberly: Thanks for looking in! ; )

tony: Ha, ha......

robin: Sadly, more could have been done through these past 8 yrs by both sides, yet, not too many took a stand, so's you'd notice. Hard to trust anyone these daze.

ph:It's all around us, yet, no one sees the obvious. Go figure? Thanks for stopping by!

fairlane: Who're you calling a droid?

Oh I don't think anyone is watching the news. They are watching American Idol.

mary: How can anyone watch more than a minute of that program? And: what news, indeed! ; (
