Thru Afghan Eyes

ThruAfghanEyes
all photos taken & blog by Fardin Waezi

I have not looked at this site for awhile, as
the person who has done it, stopped posting,
I see he is back again.

If you have any interest in what is going on
or what life is like in that part of the World,
please have a look and even leave a comment.

Although there is never any answer,
there have been very few comments left also.

All show a side of life we know nothing about.

The 3rd photo is of a box camera that is
used in photographing today also.

When I've looked at this blog and the photos
and think about how we live, I believe we are
now not too unlike others around the world.

We struggle finding/keeping jobs and attempt
to live within our means.

There are far too many interests taking
money away from us, leaving us with
very little to keep a minimum of
every day flow to our lives.

Although we have more to entice us
to spend our money, are we really
living any better than those
with far less than us?

I wonder most days.......

you raise some interesting and important issues - I think we'd be much, much better off if we had less.....or should I say if our wants and desires were much, much less. needs are needs the world over. the over-wanting of some create many of the problems of the many.

thank you for sharing fardin's photos and turning us on to his site.

p.s. folks who like fardin's photos may also like a photoblog that is on the mouse's blogroll called
'seeing things' - it too give one a taste of life in a very different part of the world and at times mohamed writes up some very powerful posts to accompany some of the photos especially the ones that concentrate on children, the poor or workers in the middle east and in so called 'third world' countries.

merle: And we continue to complain here?

mouse: I'm only sorry he doesn't take any time to write more about the photos. Thanks, will check that link out also. I used to have some other links to other blogs from other countries. I need to retrace those.

bd: Thanks for looking.

Netflix has given us the ability to see a huge variety of foreign films that can open our eyes in the same way these photos can.

kurt: Yes, many a documentary and foreign films we have seen. We only use the service during winter though.

tony: People are amazing everywhere. Makes me wonder why people don't accept it, rather than dividing everyone.....
