I don;t know this song... sounds like Nelson Wilbury (GH) singing though. Nice. Man oh man what a day!

Your song of the day gave me goosebumps-just like when I watched the inauguration!

Did Abe really say that? or did he sing it ?

Hey thanks! Who's the song? Who's the singer?

I am watching the replay of today's ceremonies now since I just got home a bit ago. I can't believe the happiness of the crowds.

And did you hear? Not One Single Arrest. ;)

This is one of the types of coffee I'm trying to grow as an indoor plant... Now it will hardly get my sun, and I doubt it'll find my apartment to be a tropical setting. I wonder if it'll grow at all!

Yes, it's George Harrison, although I wasn't surprised you would know.

sleeping dragon: Thanks on all counts ; )

Yay! Bring in the NEW!

I've always had the hugest crush on Patrick McGoohan. Sadly, he passed away recently. I love seeing him on your sidebar when I visit.

I liked especially the comment of Abraham Lincoln, 'if this is tea then bring me coffee'. I like my coffee to be strong, yet mellow. Out with the old and in with the new is very appropriate. Yet, also let America cleanse herself of the wrongs the Bush regime committed.

I'm so ashamed I didn't know it was George right away.

great song... forgot all about it. geez I miss george (harrison that is - as far as w goes,as I said when I saw the copter fly off with him in it,"don't let the door hit you in the arse! and don't come back"

willow: I was surprised to see he died the same week Andrew Wyeth did. His early work was very sophisticated, and the Prisoner is tops! ; )

n4t: Nothing will ever be perfect in any part of the World, sadly, but if accountability is appropriate for the little person, than those in power that decide to go against the Geneva Convention should be held accountable also, no matter who they are. Otherwise, another precedent is set, and that's wrong. Did I say I agree?
; )

megan: Don't be, I never thought he would have sang a song like this myself especially after the All Things Must Pass period.

kimy: So, you saw him really leave? Bet he was in a hurry ; (

Having my coffee (first cup in three days as I had switched to tea for a little break) mmm tastes goooood.

When watching the inauguration (with a nice group of people) I felt like a door opened and we were able to walk through to a different world, a barrier had come down, and now EVERY baby born here, can got to kindergarden and say in class, "I might be president someday." or my goal is... we still have a long way to go but it's Ok to feel excited!

Squirrel said...

I meant "go to" instead of got to...ever notice how typos make us sound like GW? I got to get to go...

Coffee Messiah said...

mary: Hi ya, and Thanks! ; )

squirrel: Hey, Thanks and no big deal! Did you see the video of gw walking out into the ceremonies and all the booing and singing of Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye? I saw it this AM and didn't see/hear it on TV. They must've covered it up. His face said it all and I was surprised any of the anchors thought it was disrespectful, especially after all he's done to the country!

I had that Irish Coffee this evening ; )
