life is trippy

All birds, even those of the same species,

are not alike , and it is the same with animals
and with human beings. The reason Wakantanka
does not make two birds, or animals, or human
beings exactly alike is because each is placed here
by Wakantanka to be an independent individuality
and to rely upon itself.

Will be in Chicago later this week and
away from computers too. Sadly, I'll
miss TT this week.

The SCAA is being held in Georgia
this year, but with the economy and
layoffs and slow work, one can't stray
too far from home these days.
Coffee Fest is in Chicago and we hope
to meet up with a couple of old friends
and try some new coffee and other products.

Before I go, recently California Girl passed
along a Friend Award. Syzygy gave me the
the Honest Scrap Award, and Kimy gave me
some Scribbler Award. I appreciate them all.
I have a hard time with these but when I get
a chance on my return, after showing off
some of Chicago, I will make good on all
three. Thanks again, they're fun and appreciated!

Cheers!

Don't do it Icarus! Love the post, it is good we're all a bit different otherwise I'd be bored reading the blogs :)

The machine looks as if from the Jetsons era, how I loved those old cartoons. Now I'll have the Jetson theme song stuck in my brain all day, better than other things that could get stuck there though!8-0

Enjoying a cup of French roast this morning with a piece of toast from my home baked bread, how about you? Best, Ani

cg: Thanks for the compliment ; )

ani: Yes indeed. Today, it's a Direct Trade called: Itzamna, Guatemala. It has chocolate notes and a buttery body....on the mild side but tasty ; )
I bet your bread is very tasty too!

tony: Ha, ha, we're driving ; )

cm: great collage, comme d'habitude.

but boy, this coffee business is serious business isn't it?

In my ever-humble opinion, the Lakota Shooter had it one hundred percent right.

As for Nancy and Frank, my only question to the two ding-a-lings is: exactly what was brewing in that tea pot they shared on the grass? just askin...

Safe and pleasant travels to you.

The Sioux nioux, C.M. I'm with R.L. on that one. I finished a book on the old west a couple weeks ago. Very disturbing and revealing. And are those the Sullivan Bros. on the first illo?

Also, enjoy the meet and the coffee. Cheers!

I'm happy to see that the lady in the photo by the coffee vending machine didn't have to make the coffee in the office.

Have fun in Chicago.

looking forward to hearing about what's new on the coffee scene....for some reason the quest to make a better cup of coffee seems similar to the challenge to make a better mousetrap.....

kimmy: It's really all about new products, coffee tasting and barista competitions.

willow: It's always energizing for us to be in Chicago. And always nice to get back ; )

t & t: I often wonder why people dislike differences anyway? ; (

db: Thanks so much.

n: No problem ; )

squirrel: Actually, hyperactive is a misnomer. Besides, as long as you have food with your coffee, non of that happens ; )

Hi! C.M.,
What a very nice!..Graphic design,
quote and music. I hope that you enjoy the Coffee Fest.
Btw, Did your "header' get a little wider? and I also like the fact, that your "header" is reflected in the "pupil" in the picture of the eye.
Take Care!

Coffee Feast?
Wow, what a treat for the senses (smell & taste).

Speaking of Feasts, I've always wanted to go to a Garlic Festival. I think they have them out there in California somewhere.
Happy feasting!

auntie: Garlic Fest is in Gilroy, Ca. I have a cousin who lives near there and has been playing in an all lady (until now) bluegrass group called Sidesaddle. It's huge and very crowded, or at least used to be ; )

robin: Thanks and my best to you and Roger ; )
