durn! you're right and so is Ken Nordine (I mean, 'the voice'): them little yellow bunny ears, they sure do stand out in a crowd. Maybe the yellow bunnny needs blue bunny ears? He could wear them just like a hat and freak out the other bunnies by tipping them - you know? 'Lovely day to you, ladybunnies?" "Tod! How you been, old bunnybuddy? Long time no see!" The yellow bunny wouldn't be so conspicuous that way, right? :-)

I very much agree. Love to see some of these clowns like Pat Robertson and the late Liberty College guy (I can't think this AM) keep their comments to themselves as long as they accept govt money or special tax status. They should have no influence whatsoever in our politics.
So many many wars in the 'name of God'...I am with you on that one. Freedom to believe whatever one wants!!

I guess it would be inappropriate for me to say "Amen, brother"? My father belongs to something called people for the American way which is a watchdog organization to maintain separation of church and state. I do believe that the influence of a certain brand of religion on government is fading.

Such a jarring thing - the Att'y General spoke up about the drunk driving incident that happened here the other day and started talking about angels and such.

After I read and commented on this post this morning, they had quite a discussion about this very subject on Morning Joe. I wanted to call and tell you to watch but I don't know your number! :) probably on youtube. I think it was Jon Meacham from Newsweek and a few others along with loudmouth Joe Scarborough. Interesting discussion indeed. Meacham has an article in the latest Newsweek on why Christianity is declining in the U.S.. I think it's down 10% and he attributes part of the decline to the hard religious right wing stances taken by Jerry Falwell (could NOT think of his name this morning) and others driving more moderate folk out of the church. Inotherwords, polarization or abstinence. Makes sense.

this is a constant fight here in india. to ensure that religion stays out of politics and politics stay out of religion. its a tough battle that the rest of us, the common man, is fighting. the interested parties are all too happy to mix the two for their own benefit.
