windmill of creativity
part of an old Sanka Coffee ad (thanks: artSpark!)
I've been meaning to post a photo
and song of my cousins group
Sidesaddle, in Ca. They used to
be an all lady group, but I hear there's
at least one male in it now.
She plays the mandolin.
This song is from Daylight Train, 1991.
song title: Callin' In The Cows
I was told about one site that has a very creative
look at Dantes Divine Comedy.
It takes a while to load, if patient,
you won't be disappointed.
I found this one in one of the links:

Good Morning! C.M.,
C.M. said,"It takes a while to load, if patient,

Oh! No!...downloaded pretty quick...at least on my computer.
And all I can say is...
...Wow! That kind of reminded of "Heaven and_ _ _ _"
and I most definitely, wasn't disappointed!...Once again!
Thanks, for the ad, videos, quote and I'am about to check out the song!
DeeDee ;-D

Tks, for sharing!

Wow is right. Brambilla's work is impressive. I'll look at it again.
But for right now, I have to say the Wood Smoke video gave me the same kind of buzz as Tibetan chanting did, back in the days when I did that kind of stuff. Powerful.
The guy in the Sidesaddle group calling in the cows with his mandolin - his name wouldn't be Sue, would it?
I'm off. Got to take care of Mz Cybèle's oeuvre - I'm sensing a bardo thodol thread in there, somewhere... let's see... "Somewhere in between the worlds, two travellers and a unicycle..."
See ya.
dcd: Thanks for taking a look and listen. Impressive and am sorry I never took these kinds of courses.
mum: Er, the lady playing mandolin is my cousin, Kim. The song is from the early incarnation of the group when it was all women ; )
well whoever's playing plays a mean mandolin, cm.
Your cousins' group is quite good. I also got a kick out of the Prof. Irwin Corey photo and quote. I remember him but do not recall if he was a regular on someone's show or just popped up all over the place.
Hey, I had an idea EXACTLY LIKE that Divine Comedy...that guy totally ripped me off.
Kidding.
Eat your heart out, Gustav Doré.
;) wonderful....all of it! hope you're having a divine weekend!
Hi, C.M. I do like the Sidesaddle tune but was mesmerised by the Wood Smoke one by Fredo Viola. Incredible visuals! Too, looks like I'll have to install a new Quicktime driver in order to see the Dante workings( GAH! )
CM, the video loaded quickly and was very cool. I love your cousin's group!
Hi Coffee.A Lot is packed into this Post!Loved them all.......Hey a Mean Fiddle!
I,ve been AWOL from the Internet for a day so this is a fine start to the week!
Cheers
Tony.
I enjoy those old Sanka ads and I've used a couple in OPE zine.
I hope coffee did help solve the "cross" exchange.
Lovely instrumental music. Please point me to the lyrics.
It took a while to load, but I wasn't disappointed. Very deep imagery. I have to think about this some more.
cg: He was everywhere back then.
subT: Had to do the same myself.
merle: Thanks for listening. Haven't seen nor heard her for years now ; (
tony: Thanks.
kurt: A bit more interesting compared to the ads today.
anil p: It's an instrumental ; )
ef: It's quite a piece of work.
