I would rather have eyes

that cannot see,

ears that cannot hear,

lips that cannot speak,

than a heart

that cannot love.

Point true and well taken...

catching up... George Grosz has been one of my favorite illustrators for a long time. I wouldn't call his work 'pretty', but he has so much to say.

Interesting cards and very good quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson. Who is "L"? Somebody who lights the air she walks through?

Thank you for inspiration much needed today. With this comment I have just conquered my fear of actually leaving a comment. Most times I just read and move on. RWE rocks!

His quote is very similar to what Scrooge says to his nephew's wife when he asks her forgiveness at the end of "A Christmas Carol".
