I really like this image, and I love the words "I found out."

Hi! C.M.,
The collage is unique and when time permits I will follow the link to "Scrapiteria" in order to linger.
Thanks, for sharing!

I always have to stare at your collages to figure out what all the various images that at first look do not have much in common-- but eventually seem to communicate the message.

robin: Thanks and hope Roger is doing better!

dd: Thanks for chiming in. I'm still not clear on their blog, although I have noticed they mainly comment between each other, with no one from the outside leaving any. Maybe I should ask?

layers: I never know myself what and why they turn out as they do, but it does appear I have some sort of style. Thanks for stopping by!

Ah, Coffee, there is a certain sadness in your work. It's as though you look backwards to find better times.

I don't blame you of course. There's not much in the present to enjoy and I suspect even less in the future.

The world has been raped and pillaged by humans especially over the last two or three centuries.

Our last act of destruction will be a nuclear war.

What an achievement! What a legacy!

tony: Ha, ha and Thanks for stopping by!

dg: It's always interesting to read/hear what others see when they look at things. Always so different.

Despite that, with all the wars, oil in the water and natural disasters, it certainly doesn't look good.

But maybe we have a chance.

Great "I Remember When" collage choices, and Father Guido Sarducci is always a hoot! I gave a scan on Scrapiteria, but I am too sentimental to get by that underlining sadness that informs the passing of time and things gone forever. I Remember When, for example, I grew up just a mile and a half from the famed Palisades Amusement Park' right across teh Hudson from Manhattan, a place of rides, the largest salt-water pool in the world, and all kinds of free shows and events. As students in grammar school and Jr. High, we were given a sstrip of tickets at the end of each school year, which included nine rides and a "frozen custard." I remember trading with other students for what we wanted. It was a priceless time I'll never forget, and the arrival of summer always brings these thoughts back in force.

Anyway, 'I Remember When' is always a great theme.

sam: Thanks for sharing that. We had Playland At The Beach in SF and continued going there through HS until it died a slow death, and they tore it down to build condos.
Too many past memories like this sometimes make me feel like I'm about 90 yrs old.

Aye, Michael, I feel exactly the same way. Another 'I Remember When' anecdote is the religious following of the weekly AM radio song countdowns in the NYC area with Cousin Brucie, Dan Ingram and Harry Harrison among others. In those days music was the integral element in our lives.

sam: Oh yes, much the same in the bay area back then. Never took to the countdown programs, but here, there was one dj on kya = Ed Hider who used to make audio collages that were just fantastic. Had some of that and underground radio on mini cassette, but when I left home, I never took my things and well, you can guess the rest.
