Danny scrapes his key in the lock and pushes the door open,
stepping into the office.
 He flicks the light switch;
 notices the answer-phone blinking lonely green lights,
 indicating new messages.
Then the strip light flashes into action,
 after the usual three second epileptic delay.
The morning shift begins.
