Week 18 - # 124 Collaboration w/ Paul Hawkins
Thin winter-black river horizon
meets a sky of grey icing,
thirteen pine trees
could be celebratory candles.
Taste snow
in the ariel whip of a south-westerly,
mittening over Hogsback Ridge.
Beyond the slaughterhouse;
shopping trolleys,
lorry tyres, pallets,
an industrial vice,
oil streaks, slurry and chemicals;
Venture Capital’s toxic smile.

Michael, your summer-long collaboration with Paul Hawkins has yielded some arresting visuals wedded to provocative poetry. Every one has been a keeper.
Thanks a lot Sam for taking the time to look (I know you're very busy) and your comment - they always mean a lot = Cheers!
