Ruins Of East Martello Fort, Key West Floridaby Avery Fisher Johnson
In 1934-35 the Roosevelt Administration sent artists
to Key West. This was part of an effort to establish
Key West as a unique American Caribbean resort
and to create a new tourist based economy.
The Key West administration funded by the state
and federal governments sent out thousands
of these cards and books to promote the island.
Thanks again to HR9 4 the card
and of course to all of you who made
the attempt to guess. I never would
have identified Florida either.
