Have they no grounds?

Let them drink chicory,

but I would rather suffer with coffee,

than be senseless.

Dennis enjoyed this seek & find with his morning coffee! He found the owl, the women, a bunny with donk-like ears, a goose, a camel and a crane. He did not find any sifters or other things on the list. He did find a man wearing sunglasses smoking a cigarette.

I used to love these find puzzles when I was a wee lass.

my mother I think has a hunter sifter (which she got from her mother) - the sifter I have is different, but maybe one day the sifter will be passed down .....

This reminds me of Highlights for Kids Magazine. I always loved their similar puzzle on the back page

Bonjour Coffee,

Did already find the 4 women. Now where are the elephants?

As to Napoleon, he was from Corsica, meaning Mafia, king-size Mafia in his case. Where Al Capone owned some streets in Chicago, this guy was able to squeeze the totality of Europe.

Chickory is good when added to coffee, but in place of it I must agree with Nappy.

I had no idea what a Hunter Sifter was and just Googled it. Turns out " It was advertised over 100 years ago as combining"...12 kitchen utensils in one. It is a Mixer, Scoop, Measure, Weigher, Dredger, Rice Washer, Starch, Tomato, Wine, and Fruit Strainer. It is the most useful kitchen utensil made."

Wow. Now there's an impressive product!

Couldn't find the Owl. Or the elephants. I will not attribute that to my being a dunce.

P. S. Do you suppose someone really won $10 in gold? That would have been quite the coup in those days!

dennis: I'm not sure, because the back of the card is simply an advertisement, but 2 of the sifters are easily found, but not the 3rd. Good eyes!

mouse: Those tools still hold up, while the new ones always seem to break not long after purchase.

merle: Those were fun weren't they, and helped you to see more than the the easier things to see around you.

Where's Waldo?

georg: Guess he was one of the 1st to see that holding alot of real estate was good for his pocket book. Unlike those today????

ched: I don't know, it's good for Vietnamese Coffee (iced) but other than that, Chickory in coffee does nothing for me. ; (

tony: ; )

lib: Probably a fortune.....

kurt: With great anticipation, I look forward to this mysterious offering after work today. It also has worked it's way into a post (the offering) which I will post Sat.

Thanks in advance, I think....

I wonder if this sifter was invented by Ron Popeil's great grandfather?

Ah, chicory! Having tasted it mixed with coffee, I would much rather have just coffee.
