almost synchronicity....I had the lindbergh quote in my queue but didn't bring to dc the right photo to illustrate it....but of course you would post it on the messiah.....
I don't know if it's my folks computer or what but can't seem to access the vid.... loved that show! it was one of the very few tv shows we got when we lived in guam ('64-'66)...probably one of the reasons I will occasionally tune into n.c.i.s is to catch david mccallum as ducky the m.e. .... I loved him when he was illya kuryakin - such great names his characters have.... thanks for the flash even if I can't see the vid!
I remember well the wave of popular television stars who could sing a lick, but set their fine speaking voices to music to make a few bucks. Kind of sad really.
I think a good conversation about really irritating things is like an espresso shot that lingers till the next day morning.. and a really good cup of coffee with perfect of sugar is a never ending dream..
t & t: It's right there and, since it was from '66, it is obscure.
edward: We are always communicating, no matter what, right? !
kimy: No vid, that's Ched & Squirrels world.
I wonder if you had our friend as a teacher? He had to go to Guam for a job, 'cause while in LA, due to going to meetings that disagreed with the US Government at the time, local schools would not hire him. To say he was glad to go to Guam though would be an understatement. ; ) Their loss here. He's now 82.
bd: Coffee and silence, a subtle form of communication. ; )
merle: I know what you mean. Kitsch to be sure, but now, they are fun to listen to.
lettuce: I never thought this cartoon was true.....
I found a communication quote that is so true-- I try not to say anything that is mean-ish or could easily be taken the wrong way. I regret my snappy comebacks and snide remarks.

oh my! just had a conversation with one of my girlfriends about the same. Her view was that we r communicating less becoz of the world wide web and my view was that the communication has increased becoz things that would have been left unsaid are said with just a click..... the debate is still ongoing :) but in the end, its communicating that really matters - no matter how,when,where.....
i took a leap forward, communication wise--i totally know my name is eddy now and run to see what humans want when they call me. it's kind of exciting to know your name!
maria: Thanks....you know how things change when you're looking to simplify your life.
ched: That's a nice quote!
david: Oh man, it was all hard to swallow wasn't it? And you know I agree. Thanks for stopping by. Need to go your way!
n: Yes, it all ends up the same, no matter what you call it.
naj: Been away and truly appreciate the thought. I have done something similar awhile back so please do not take it the wrong way if I let it pass. It's so nice of you to share the thought! I need to come your way also, it's been awhile. I hope your family is doing well!
edward: You better start eating more to bulk up if Dennis is going to sit on you. ; )
anil p: It appears that the younger ones are texting etc which naturally cuts down on real conversation. ; (

Mouse, I lived in Guam too. '56 to '58 though.
haha! this makes me think of myself and my daughter, sending each other silly faces on MSN, while sat about 4 feet apart....
Love that quote.

cinnmint: You are oh so right! ; )
love how the word "modern" seems so dated
Love the Lindbergh quote. Intriguing as to what keeps our thoughts inspired, communication & caffeine.
I agree! That's why I've been known to stay up all night talking.
Dennis wonders why no one listens to him.
hR9: Just goes to show how long we've been around! Hope Hawaii is treating you well! ; )
joanne: Different items for many. But I like this combination myself.
nick:Certainly nothing wrong with that, unless you're talking with yourself! ; )
dennis: Maybe you try too hard?
I just got a new phone, but I must remember to use it. Thanks for the reminder. I'll reach out and touch someone. Hope you guys are well!

I've been listening to the Conventions trying to find good communication. All I heard was fanaticism and rhetoric!
Never have so many been conned so completely by so few.
Cheers.

Good conversation, yes. Good communication as well.
Are good, stimulating conversations getting rarer now?

As I said, that was a chance for me to say I appreciate your creativity.
And your small piece of pie and that coffee are delicious :)
