Green raw coffee beans : Retain freshness for years

Roasted coffee : Begins to lose flavor after a week

Ground coffee : Starts losing flavor an hour after grinding

Brewed coffee : Starts losing flavor within minutes

The solution to freshness is to purchase bulk coffee beans
in smaller quantities and grind the beans before brewing.

The Arabs have the best solution, roast, grind, brew
and drink coffee all at one sitting.

For those of you who may not think you are creative
enough, you can always do things like this and even
get others to help. Could be great fun and an interesting
way to go through that old stamp collection that may have
been handed down from a relative that you don't
know what to do with. No use wasting the stamps.

Oh boy, if I did that with dad's stamp collection, he would kill me! :)

I have too many collections; maybe I should do something unusual with them . . . Didn't know that song. Have a good week!

rlb: Ha, ha.....

megan: I don't know, he might like that others would be able to see his collection. Although, if there were any valuable stamps, maybe not ; (

t & t: Hey, U 2!

joanne: Can't imagine how long it would have taken.

simstone: Probably nothing, since the stamps were no good for selling after that.

n: I believe the article was from the 50s, maybe even a bit earlier. And from a newspaper article, although it did not state any information.

nc: Most people are still confused by the whole issue, so Thanks ; )

tony: Maybe, and maybe not.....

We grind our own beans here at OPE. We don't want to buy beans green and roast them before grinding, as that would verge on connoisseurship, which is the aesthetic of damnation.

I like the stamp car.

We have bumper sticker cars here, not very pretty. More emphatic and extreme.

(Especially the Nader for president car.)

I wonder what kind of coffee Nader drinks? Obama?
Time to research!

Dennis noticed the coffee man is not wearing any clothes.

I wonder what that car's worth with all those stamps on there - hope he didn't stick anything really valuable on it! ;-)

What's not to love about the Andrew sisters, not to mention naked men pouring coffee beans all over the planet.

thanks for the useful information..

I'm almost there... I grind, brew and drink my coffee at one sitting.

unfortunately I don't know exactly when the beans were roasted - I always buy free trade beans from equal exchange.... they seem fresh. and I never buy more than 5 days of beans at a time...

love the car!

kurt: Guess I want to reach "aesthetic of damnation." Hope to C U there! ; )

squirrel: Seems less and less people use stickers on cars now a days, at least out here.

dennis: U R the 1st to notice ; )

absolute: I'm thinking not much, since the stamps could not be used again.

reya: Not surprised you noticed ; )

lettuce: I've seen some crazy cars in the usa, his is tame in comparison.

kimy: If you find a place that roasts ask when they make a batch and try it. You'll like it ; )

edward: Hard to say isn't it?
