Don't know the movie, love the song and the collage too.
And hereby confirm Fate sometimes likes to greet folks with a size 15 steel-tipped boot. Just so to keep folks on their toes, I guess (don't mind me, had some unfunny news delivered over lunch.)
But I repeat: don't know the movie, love the song and the collage too.
I love the collage, your site is excellent. I get a joy out of seeing the pictures especially. It's always fun to see your site. I admire your creativity. From a java lover, Peace
My teacher always said that it was the job of the Fates to trip you if you stepped off the path that was intended for you. Kind of a different perspective, eh?
What is film noir anyway? Film Noir is the flip side of the all-American success story. It's about people who realize that following the program will never get them what they crave. So they cross the line, commit a crime and reap the consequences. Or, they're tales about seemingly innocent people tortured by paranoia and ***-kicked by Fate. Either way, they depict a world that's merciless and unforgiving. Author Eddie Muller,"Dark City:The Lost World of Noir"
I have no idea what "Club Detour" was named after but it is not a coincidence that the post World War Two era saw a boom in film noir movies that were dark, twisted and scrumptiously entertaining. One of these films was in fact called Detour. Detour is a low budget gem of a film noir starring Tom Neal and the late great Ann Savage (who just recently passed away on Christmas Day) in which Neal's character hops a ride with a guy who mysteriously ends up dead. Logic of all unlogic, instead of going to the cops and saying "Hey, look, this guy just died. I don't know what happened," he steals his identity and picks up what has to be one of the most psychotic female characters ever in a 1940s film who knows the truth and ends up blackmailing and sucking him into a world that could only be a dream. Sound like fun? It is if you suspend disbelief of all reality that requires you to make sense of the storyline. "From The Blog Dimwit"
mark: Of course, but life is so unpredictable, that I have seen in my own life, that simply ending up being somewhere at the wrong time does put you in this kind of situation. Mostly though, you are right.

I've read your blog for a while now. Thought I should at least say hello. I find you entertaining and also thought provoking. Have a good week.
In that case, "fate" can start keeping his feet to himself! Love the Thursday theme, by the way :-)
I love that!;)
Ain't it the truth, C.M. Still working on my TT "story".
I'm keeping my fingers crossed and my negative thoughts at bay.

Cheers from Graulhet to Indiana.
Oh, man, isn't that the truth?
Yep, just when you think things can't get worse, they do.

i think you are a great graphic designer
I like the girl skipping rope especially. She can jump right over fate's pesky tripwires.
yeah , i agree with you, fate keeps popping up, but most of the time we just walk by..
i love reading your posts

I see the spammers now take the time to write an actual comment. The times they are a changin'!
That is so true...it is funny I read this today.
Have you heard this "saying" about 'Zoe' (life in greek and a name many use I believe)...
'Zoe' (i.e life) is beautiful but... she is 'dating' somebody else (we say it to indicate that life can be tricky and hard to follow sometimes :-)
Take care
peace and love

Hi! C.M.,
What a very beautiful and unique, (collage) "graphic design."
Thanks, For sharing as usual!
DCD :-)
When someone puts a "best foot forward".........it usual ends up with another soul tripping over it!
Is that glass filled with coffee liqueur?
reya: Seems to work out that way, doesn't it, if we look closely ; )
dcd: That's a great review and appreciate your stopping by! ; )
tony: Funny how that sometimes works, eh?
squirrel: OK ; )
Loved your graphics and the comment, as usual. Fate has tripped me up several times, I think.
Still thinking about the fish thing...
e: Thanks.....you never have to take the theme too literal, if you know what I mean. I'm taking liberties with this one myself ; )
Interesting thought, not sure I agree. I would say that we trip ourselves up, we are our own worst enemy and that the foot of fate is attached to us.
mind over matter... maybe we want to trip up sometimes
hmmmm, good brew!
once in a while, u get a chance to trip life :)
its rare but i think we all get our chances to have our say against 'fate'. faith and belief is what counts at such times.

Bonjour Coffee,
Very apt and to the point. Here is another one, you might like. It is from Plato.
Be kind, for everybody you meet is fighting a hard battle
Georg
georg: Bonjour and yes, we indeed are, aren't we.
Cheers to you and yours!
