l-r my son, me, picasso & john held jrat picassos old store in sf
a blast was always had whenever picassoheld an event at his store. my good friend from group362
was met there among others. always a diverse group
of creative people getting together.
what follows is a short clip taken
in the new digs in chicago.
both picasso and darlene were great to
take us to places we've never seen in Chicago.
we are looking forward to our next visit.

I burst out laughing when I saw the little girl with the Napoleon III mustache and goatee. And laughed again when I saw the link to dada. Why? because it reminded me of the old Soviet joke about the Lenin museum where they displayed Lenin's skull as a child, Lenin's skull as a teenager, Lenin's skull as...etc. When I saw the little girl, I thought 'ah Duchamp's Mona Lisa as a child!'
You posted stuff by Picasso Gaglione a while back, didn't you? Cool, cool shop. If ever I get to Chicago, I'll be sure to visit. One million rubber stamps? And a shop that displays a sign saying 'Art is Books' ? I think I could deal with that :-)

Thanks for the laughs (just got back from an afternoon at l'administration française - nice people and definitely dadaist as an experience, but you get the feeling you're not really supposed to laugh, you know?)

Picasso..what a ame to live up to, I'd love to leave a more illuminated comment, but I was hypnotised by that walrus of a moustache.
Interesting DaDa link...love the photos, the girl in the goatee had me laughing as well, first time in a few days...Rubber Stamp Museum looks like a cool place to visit. Thanks!

StampFrancisco. A magical place and time for me. Like falling down the rabbit hole. Picasso and friends (U included!) opened my eyes n mind to so much.
