picasso gaglione and dada
a blast was always had whenever picasso
held an event at his store. my good friend from group362
was met there among others. always a diverse group
of creative people getting together.
what follows is a short clip taken
in the new digs in chicago.
both picasso and darlene were great to
take us to places we've never seen in Chicago.
we are looking forward to our next visit.
if U R ever in chicago
look up stampland and say hello ; )

Hi! C.M.,
What a very interesting link to DaDa information. nice photographs of your friend Picasso new "digs" and "stampland" looks interesting.
Tks, for sharing!
Deedee ;-D
I burst out laughing when I saw the little girl with the Napoleon III mustache and goatee. And laughed again when I saw the link to dada. Why? because it reminded me of the old Soviet joke about the Lenin museum where they displayed Lenin's skull as a child, Lenin's skull as a teenager, Lenin's skull as...etc. When I saw the little girl, I thought 'ah Duchamp's Mona Lisa as a child!'
You posted stuff by Picasso Gaglione a while back, didn't you? Cool, cool shop. If ever I get to Chicago, I'll be sure to visit. One million rubber stamps? And a shop that displays a sign saying 'Art is Books' ? I think I could deal with that :-)
Great to see a pic of you and your boy.
Thanks for the laughs (just got back from an afternoon at l'administration française - nice people and definitely dadaist as an experience, but you get the feeling you're not really supposed to laugh, you know?)
best, cm.
Incredibly cool.
Fun to see your pic!
Wonderful fun. I wish I had known about this when I lived in San francisco.
I see you had a visit from the same person I did who has been going through the b.o.n. archives.
It seems that you are having fun there!
loved the cleverness of the blog. Shows some great travels and sense of humor.
CM, at last a face to go with the blog!
Nice artwork in that first picture!!
dcd: Thanks for taking a look.
rlb:There's such a long list of players, many hardly mentioned but known throughout the world. Once I met and started reading, I never knew picasso had been so well known. He's a great guy and very low key.
willow: I shoulda put someone elses head over mine ; )
artspark: Too bad, we might have met then. Thank goodness 4 the delete key ; )

Picasso..what a ame to live up to, I'd love to leave a more illuminated comment, but I was hypnotised by that walrus of a moustache.

So nice to see a photo of you! I wondered what you look like. Glad to hear you are feeling better as well. That flu still has my husband in its grip in a squeamish sort of way. I am MUCH recovered.
Great pictures and inspiration from your post of Picasso Gagolione and the StampFrancisco scene!
charles: Thanks for going so far back to take a look!
