The following short video is from a trip passing
through Fulton, Illinois, along the Mississippi River
a few days ago. The weather was great and although
we have passed this Wind Mill many times,
decided to stop. Lucky we did, 'cause if you look
and listen, you will see/hear 2 Bald Eagles.

never get tired of the mississippi--it is freakin' huge! It is a force not unlike the great lakes or an ocean. And is that really what an eagle sounds like? Great!

The windmill is a beautiful structure.
I have never seen the Mississippi (though I can sing the song -- I. salt. salt. I. salt. salt. I. pepper. pepper...) Now, I feel like I have.

This is a wonderful post, CM -- there are several redtailed hawks here, btw, all roosting or not, as they will, in the tops of the wateroaks and maples at my home.

Yes, eagles are magnificent-- although they are a common sight in my back along 'my' cliff-- they perch in the trees and soar by-- and once this summer I found a young one perched on a big pot on my back deck looking at the big koi in my pond-- I still run to the window and peer out when they appear.
I loved your video. So peaceful to see the eagles gently soaring. Wierd how the sun came out-very mysterious looking!
