It's interesting music for sure Michael, and one that reveals a haunting, melancholic strain, even with its enagaing "surface" charm. I know that Trudell was involved with the Indian occupation of Alcatraz Island in the late 60's, and that he had to endure the most horrifying of all tragedies when a fire killed his wife, three children and mother-in-law. To recover from that, much less to resume composing is quite a miraculous achievement. I think I'll order the CD of "Blue Indians."

sam: Check your email. I took my son to see him in SF years ago and was a great experience. We went backstage and he's a great guy. Amazing how positive he stays, despite those setbacks. This clip was amazing and really enjoyed the "india influence" in the music in the last part. Hope he utilizes it in a recording coming out at sometime. A real enhancement.

lettuce: Better to fall up, than down.
