staying this side of creative

Trying to stay this side of creative and working
on some new skills before I show anyone any
other projects, not to mention the curve balls
that life tends to throw and must be dealt with.

I've sent these cut and paste
collages to this blog:

Scrapiteria

If you haven't seen it,
they're funny and are way
ahead of me in this genre.

and so it goes

CM - I love the second one, obviously timely and since I live on the Gulf Coast of FLA emotionally moving.

Both of these read to me as details of larger images, and, larger stories.
Thanks for a shot of that unmistakable voice! -J

Ah, the "Mayor of McDougal Street" and a prime purveyor of acoustic folk. Nice bluesy composition.

There is an arresting element of the 'precarious' in those collages. Geez, I do hope teh weather has calmed a bit for you. Looks like we're getting a two-day reprieve from the heat here in the NYC area.

sam: Thanks. Friends of mine opened for him at the Great American Music Hall and, his guitar playing was amazing.
Saw Ramblin' Jack but he was too drunk, so it was a waste. Tried also to see John Fahey at the same venue, he was so messed up he never made it ti the venue ; (

Hey, Coffee, see you're still doing great things over here. You are a clever man and more power to you.

While the world goes down the plughole, we need diversions, things to take our mind off things, things that make us happy.

Your blog helps. Mightily.

Take care.

david: Thanks for stopping by! Not sure about that, but know the absurd day to day surrounding us is getting very old ; (
Hope you are doing well!

The second one is hard hitting in the context of the oil spill. Especially what the birds in the image remind ne of.

One thing worries me though. In these times of information explosion, primarily driven by Digital, with everything only a click away, the ability of a message to drive home a point is seriously affected because of reduced attention span resulting from overlapping content only a click away.

anil p: I agree.....seems the more content you write/post, most people keep a moving. Sad really.
