Paris Exposition Coin 1880

The Paris Exposition's biggest hit was
a larger version of the prototype
espresso machine. Steam, the first great
power source of the Industrial Age,
fuelled the true child of the modern coffee era:

The first steam powered Espresso Machine.

Cool looking coins... I would like to travel back in time to go to the Paris Exposition.

If I could go back in time, I'd meet Snoopy.

You remind me: I really want to get an Espresso Machine!

Oooooo, I love Monty Python, such lovely fun.
Thanks once again, for a bit of new information, an addition to my education and a lilting tune.

Back in time? Could I make a certain person (initials are lrh) disappear?

Oh well, never mind.

Cheers!

A decent time machine would have an espresso machine in the dashboard.

Kurt-- Snoopy Who? C.S.?

dc: After reading about the Chicago Exposition, Paris would have been very interesting at that time I am sure.

kurt: Have you read the Schultz biography? I started it and it's quite interesting.

nick: You can get an Automatic Capresso for under $3,000 and it's a lifesaver! ; )

cathy: Seems no matter what, people like LRH still appear, in other forms. Perplexing, isn't it?!

bd: Now you're talking!

I was thinking more like $30.00!

nick: Yikes.....I hear what you're saying, but there's no way to get a tasty espresso with a machine made @ that price! ; (

You’re right. I did some quick research and the least expensive I was able to locate is a Saeco Nina Bar for $284.99.

Good history lesson and I wonder if the taste was better back then.

Hey Coffee, are you planning on writing a book on coffee? What you know could definitely fill one!

Dennis had an espresso machine a long time ago--it kept hissing at him and scared him.

An espresso machine that hissed & gurgled in time to a melody of Neil Diamond Toons would be rather Cool..............

nick: Never purchase a Saeco, if you value your money and coffee.

larry: Hard to say, but at that time, I'm sure they weren't spraying any chemicals on anything! ; )

robin: I can barely write these posts! ; (

dennis: That hissing lets you know it was working.

tony: Oh no, not Neil Diamond! ; (
