the lao tzu quote resonated with me, i have a hard time saying no to people outside my family group who want me to do what they want--sometimes just real little things, but still they must win...if i say no, they say that i'm being silly, until i give in. them that controls others even in tiny things must feel powerful. while i feel ...run over. i must master myself!

That is a great quote, something to remember. And while I'm at it, starting reading more widely.

I hope this is a good week for you.

Peace. It seems so impossible for this world. I guess all you can do is start with yourself.

I liked the poster, and the quote more still.

Most good things are about exercising a certain amount of discipline, isn't it?

i wasn't quite sure about the quote - not v. keen on the "mastering" language/image - but what Edward said resonates...

Oh yes, mastering myself is the key and goal!

Thank you!
