THEME THURSDAY = LEAF

October is the fallen leaf,

but it is also a wider horizon more clearly seen.

It is the distant hills once more in sight,

and the enduring constellations

above them once again.

Hal Borland

===============================

Have you ever read:

The Last Leaf by O Henry

This weeks theme reminded me of this story.

Need to read more of his work again.

Click the title and you can read it too.

Lovely photo; and I hadn't thought about O. Henry or Hal Borland in a good long while, until your post today.

I just noticed this week a change in the morning light in my kitchen, from the sun shining through the now leafless trees out back. Intricacies of the change of seasons.

Thanks for sharing. Love this time of year as it reminds us that life is eternal even though it goes through many changes.

thanks for the jog - I hadn't thought of either in a good long while also.... and don't remember the last leaf - I wonder if there's a copy of it on project gutenberg!

love the pic. yesterday I tried to take capture a leaf falling but never got a decent shot... I discovered it's really hard to take a photo of a falling leaf!

joanne: Coming from the west coast where it's either sunny, foggy or rainy, the 4 seasons are nice to experience.

mark: Makes me wonder why some people do not like or understand that everything needs to change at some point.

megan: U R welcome.

kimy: I don't know, what you do take looks mighty fine with these ol' eyes! ; )

simstone: Did you ever shiver, just because you were looking at a river?

Thanks for stopping by and added you to the blogroll. Like your quotes but alas, could not leave a comment. Just so ya know I came by. ; )

merle: No leaf cleanup 4 u ! ; )

rlb: Look at the tag line, I am now leaving title and artist there.
I have not forgotten the circus. I will upload soon.

Hi Big Bro- We are actually getting ready for some upper 70's weather today and through the weekend. We have some trees that have started to change colors and some leaves that have fallen but all and all, I think nature is confused over here.
I love you~ Lil Sis
