and i wonder, maybe if we look at global population numbers actually the road travelled by those of us in developed nations is probably the less travelled rather than the most.... just the more destructive

let's take the road that lines our politician's pockets the most.

It's very difficult. blame Ike for the superhighway image; he sent cargo down that route instead of the more efficient trains. It's all in a muddle and the politicians don't care. They pledge allegiance to whichever party will get them elected in their state. The rest of us do the small things, and hope they add up in the long run
an appropriate quote indeed. were it not about the environment it could be about the nation's political climate.
I'm reading & hearing more despair from people. I've always tried to be an optimist but I am having trouble right now. We no longer have Bush to blame either. I feel as tho' we, the people, leave too much up to our elected officials and we neglect to remind them, strongly, whho has the power. They don't. We do.

cg: Despair? I'm on my 3rd yr at this job. When I started, there were 5 people doing what I do. For over a year, there is only me. We received no raise last yr. I just received a raise of .17 hr = $5.44 wk. It's all weak and some companies are certainly taking advantage of the situation. BTW, in order to get another of these hefty raises next year? You have to perform a 3rd job. Oy vey ; (

Sunday was World Sound Healing Day and here on Mayne Island 12 women brought together their wisdom in sacred space to walk a labyrinth together and make a commitment to mother earth.
Your post coffee messiah reminds me that these kinds commitments are not universal.

hh: Certainly, anyone reading the quote, would think it has to do with that, but why I made it, was on a different level. Confusing, but I like it when people see something other than what made you create a piece in the first place.
