art and blogging

JS Bean Factory last yr when I sent Joe
the coffee mix.

To get through the hardest journey

we need to take only one step at a time

but we must keep on stepping.

Chinese Proverb

While in Minnesota for a brief time, we
had a chance to finally meet up with
a fellow blogger, who I've known of and read
over the last 4 yrs, starting with us all knee
deep in political issues. Joe has a friend who
owns a coffee shop and roasts his own beans,
called: J & S Bean Factory, in St. Paul. It was late
in the day and tried his espresso, which was
very good, and sat out back and chatted
for a short while. It was great to finally meet
him, although the visit was too short.

You can find him here at:
Round Circle

When I arrived home, although I
signed up for the PO to hold our mail
was a box with a hand painted coffee
cup by an artist in New York who
also has a blog, which you can find here:
Gwyneths Full Brew

Once I made contact, we decided
to trade one of my coffee cd mixes
for one of her cups.

The post that link takes you to, is
the one that I first saw and caught
my attention. Not only does she recycle
tea/coffee paper cups, but also adds
a slice of living in New York in her posts.

If you visit either one of these fine folks,
don't forget to say "hello."

Great hearing this infectious piece by Bill Medley, one of the Righteous Brothers duo!

That meeting with your fellow blogger and coffee purveyor is a reminder of the power of the internet, and how perfect matches can be arrived at through common interests and philosophies.

Wonderful artwork to underline the theme!

p11: Thanks for taking a look.

dd: Thanks and hope all is well.

sam:Yes, despite some negativity, linking with folks you can rarely have a chance to meet in person, certainly opens your world.

The collage reminds me of the old song

I'm going sailing in a wooden shoe
Looking for a star to tell my troubles to-

From Didn't we shake Sugaree

otl: Thanks for stopping by and checking out Gwyneths blog.

artS: There are so many versions of that song, I never thought of it.
